Metallurgy
Metallurgy is the discipline of developing and improving the characteristics of materials, such as titanium, steel and aluminium, and understanding the way these materials behave (physical properties, strength, corrosion resistance). Both in research and production, addition of gas to the process plays an important role. Mass Flow Controllers are used in industrial furnace applications for the control of burner gases, oxygen dosage in decarbonation processes, passivation of aluminium and in (laser or plasma) cutting and welding applications.
