What the Job Looks Like

This is an inside sales role so there’s no need for travel or face-to-face meetings. You will be responsible for energetically and enthusiastically developing new customers and markets, meeting customer needs for technical products, services, and solutions through commercial transactions.

On any given day you will:

  • Conduct business development appointments over the phone. Establish rapport, build trust, and engage potential customers through conversation, confidently presenting our capabilities and competencies to generate sales for the company.
  • Manage the sales pipeline. You’ll manage the flow of transactions from an opportunity to close, follow up on proposals, and close sales.
  • Record phone call and meeting data. You’ll need to keep our CRM up-to-date with your call results to assist opportunity management and reporting.
  • Report at sales meetings. You’ll regularly update the management team on the performance of the overall sales function as well as the status of discrete opportunities.
  •  In this sales role—unlike pretty much every other—there’s no admin work. None! You don’t have to process orders, generate quotes, resolve issues or deal with the usual fuss that impairs other salespeople’s productivity.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities of Salesperson

  • You’ll have 2-5 years of experience in business-to-business sales. Interpreting what a prospect is thinking and feeling is just second nature to you.
  • You’ll be adept at engaging prospects in detailed conversations about the pros and cons of our solutions guiding them through the ROI.
  • You’re organized, proactive, and understand sales and marketing concepts. Since you will work closely with our executive team, your feedback will help tailor our offers to clients.
  • 4-year degree in Business, Marketing or related field, or 4 years previous technical sales experience
