Bronkhorst

Which supply voltage and I/O signals are available for Bronkhorst® instruments?

Bronkhorst offers a wide variety of possibilities for electrical hook-up and communication. As a standard, most mass flow and pressure meters & controllers can be fed with 15 to 24 Vdc. By exception, some models are only suited for +24 Vdc.

The options for analog input/output are 0-5 Vdc, 0-10 Vdc, 0-20 mA and 4-20 mA (other on request).

Digital communication of most product lines are: RS232, PROFIBUS DP, DeviceNet™, Modbus-RTU/ASCII, EtherCAT®, PROFINET, CANopen, Modbus TCP, EtherNet/IP, Powerlink and FLOW-BUS (Bronkhorst® fieldbus).

Bronkhorst Fieldbus Options

Customized I/O configurations

Besides the obvious I/O-options for measured and setpoint values via analog signals, RS232 or fieldbus communication, various Bronkhorst series feature a programmable pin (pin 5 of DB9-connector, pin 5 of M12 connector or pin 2 of M8 connector) for customized I/O configurations. This functionality can be used for advanced operations such as digital frequency/pulse output, alarm output/reset, processing an external setpoint signal, valve purge/close and analog valve output. Some options are specified in the model number identification, however, numerous other settings can be programmed on request.
