“At Bronkhorst, I got the chance to start over, grow, and become part of a team where you truly feel at home.”
The story
“I worked as a bus driver for 27 years, with a deep passion for my job. After a medical situation, I was no longer able to continue in that role, and my world completely changed. Following a period of recovery, I attended an open day at Bronkhorst with the help of my coach. I spent hours listening to the passionate stories of employees, which immediately inspired me. I felt seen and welcomed, and soon after I joined the Clean Products department. From the beginning, it truly felt like joining a family. Whether someone has worked here for 40 years or just one month, everyone wears their name badge with pride, and that says a lot about the culture. Even without technical experience, but with a strong motivation to learn, I started in this role. Recently, I completed a technical course, but the real learning happened on the job. By doing the work myself, I learned the terminology and how to combine theory with practice. Using the PERO cleaning system, I make our instruments extremely clean and ready for use."
A fresh start, new skills, and continuous growth
"My daily work consists of cleaning products to the highest standards. At Bronkhorst, ‘clean’ is not just a process, it’s a promise across the entire organization. What makes my job unique is seeing the incredible transformation of our instruments through my work. It gives me a real sense of pride and achievement.
I also enjoy thinking along with ongoing projects. Being involved and contributing ideas, even starting from the ground up, is something I find very rewarding. Bronkhorst encourages this openness, which makes you feel truly valued as an employee.
After completing my training, I have the opportunity to continue learning. I’m not yet sure which direction I’ll take, but I see endless possibilities to further develop my technical skills.
During my time at Bronkhorst, I have learned not only on a professional level but also personally. Starting over required me to adapt and grow in many ways. My colleagues have played a big role in this journey, making me feel supported and part of a team from day one.
For me, Bronkhorst feels like home. It’s a place where you can be yourself, where you belong, and where you are encouraged to stay true to who you are.”
