"I first got to know Bronkhorst through my wife, who had previously completed an internship there. Hearing about her positive experiences sparked my curiosity and encouraged me to apply myself. As I learned more about the company, I quickly felt that it was a place where I would fit in. The combination of technological innovation across a wide range of industries, a strong focus on sustainability, and the warm, family-oriented culture immediately appealed to me. What stood out most to me on my first day was the atmosphere. It was so open and informal that I felt comfortable right away almost like walking into a living room where everyone is free to be themselves. That was especially important to me. Because of my autism, I can become overstimulated more easily, so a supportive and understanding work environment makes a real difference. At Bronkhorst, this was taken into account from day one. People listened, thought along with me, and made me feel truly seen and valued. Since then, I have completed two internships within the Strategic Marketing & Communications department. During my first internship, I worked on the Bronkhorst Bode, an internal communications project that I had the opportunity to redesign and modernize. During my graduation internship, I was able to further develop my skills, take ownership of projects, and gain valuable hands-on experience. The combination of creativity, communication, and collaboration made every day both educational and rewarding."

“I joined Bronkhorst in 1999, initially working in Marketing. At that time, I had no idea I would eventually build a career in Learning & Development. Over the years, I gradually discovered where my real passion lies: helping people learn and grow. After about ten years, I decided to follow that passion and completed a part-time primary education degree alongside my job. During my studies in Educational Science, I was introduced to the 70:20:10 learning model, an approach that shows that most learning happens on the job, a significant part comes from learning with and from others, and a smaller portion comes from formal training. As my interests developed, I naturally moved closer to the field of learning and development within Bronkhorst. A few years later, I was offered a role in Learning & Development, which turned out to be the perfect fit. The combination of my teaching background and my organizational and international experience allowed me to support, train and coach colleagues in their development. Bronkhorst truly encourages learning, exploration and personal growth. That environment gave me the opportunity to apply my knowledge, such as the 70:20:10 model, across the organization, helping to make learning an integral part of everyday work. It also enabled me to grow step by step into my current role as Learning & Performance Officer."

"During my Applied Physics studies at university, I often missed the connection between theory and real-world application. That motivated me to move away from purely academic research and look for an environment where innovation becomes tangible. At Bronkhorst, I found exactly that: a company where research and practical applications come together. The combination of a driven family business, a strong sense of responsibility, and social engagement immediately appealed to me and matched how I view work. I started as a Project Engineer, like many colleagues in R&D, working on the development of a new sensor. It was a challenging assignment, but with the support of experienced colleagues, I successfully completed it. Today, I lead a team of talented and determined engineers developing future-proof technologies for leading high-tech companies worldwide. My role is not only to provide direction, but also to stay people-focused and ensure we work towards shared goals. Our department is involved across multiple phases of the product lifecycle from research and development to industrialization, validation, and even customer-specific problem solving. We continuously create innovative solutions that did not exist before, requiring creativity, technical depth, and strong collaboration."

"Since November 2022, I’ve been working as a recruiter at Bronkhorst. That means almost everyone who applies will meet me at some point. Not because I like to interfere, but because I schedule the interviews, ask the questions and sometimes help ease the nerves. Think of me as the friendly gatekeeper, coffee or tea included.
