What to do

As the Area Sales Manager you report to the National Sales Manager and the Country Manager. You’ll also work closely with the sales team and other relevant departments. Hyderabad will be your home office but visits to our Bronkhorst Instrumentation India office in Pune and travel within Andhra Pradesh and Telangana are also common.


Key responsibilities:
•    Drive sales growth and achieve agreed sales targets across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. 
•    Build, maintain, and expand relationships with new and existing customers, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. 
•    Provide technical and commercial advice on Bronkhorst's measurement and control instrumentation and deliver customer-specific solutions. 
•    Understand customer applications, processes, and requirements to recommend the most suitable products and solutions from the Bronkhorst portfolio. 
•    Identify new business opportunities, generate leads, and develop strategic plans to grow market share within the territory. 
•    Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments, translating insights into concrete sales actions. 
•    Prepare and follow up on quotations in collaboration with the internal sales team and manage the progress of projects, offers, and orders. 
•    Conduct regular customer visits, technical presentations, and product demonstrations throughout the region. 
•    Negotiate prices, discounts, commercial terms, and sales agreements with customers. 
•    Coordinate customer support activities, including complaint handling and after-sales support, in cooperation with the Global Service Office. 
•    Monitor sales performance, analyze results, and identify opportunities for improvement. 
•    Support annual sales and marketing budget planning for the assigned territory in collaboration with the National Sales Manager and Country Manager. 
•    Follow up on outstanding payments and support timely collections. 
•    Participate in trade fairs, exhibitions, networking events, and other business development activities. 
•    Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for management. 
•    Work closely with colleagues across departments to ensure excellent customer service and successful project execution. 
•    Provide advice and support to management when required and perform other duties related to the role.

What to bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Electronics & Instrumentation, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in technical sales, instrumentation, automation, process control, or a similar field.
  • Strong commercial skills combined with a solid understanding of measurement and control technologies.
  • Good English communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong presentation and customer engagement skills.
  • Willingness to travel frequently for customer visits and business meetings within the assigned territory.
  • Willingness to travel across India and occasionally overseas.

Preferred:
•    Communication skills in Telugu and/or Hindi. 
•    Experience in conducting technical presentations and product demonstrations. 
•    Ability to travel independently using a bike or car.
