Bronkhorst High-Tech B.V. is the data controller for the processing of your personal data. The company is based at Nijverheidsstraat 1A, 7261 AK Ruurlo, the Netherlands, and listed in the Trade Register of the Dutch Chamber of Commerce under number 080589793. Bronkhorst High-Tech B.V. may share your personal information with local Bronkhorst entities, whose contact details are available at www.bronkhorst.com/contact

Bronkhorst High-Tech B.V. and local Bronkhorst entities are referred to collectively as "Bronkhorst", "we", "us", or "our".

This Privacy Statement explains how we process your personal data.

When does this Privacy Statement apply?

This Privacy Statement applies to you if:

  • You visit our website www.bronkhorst.com (the ''Website'');
  • You contact us;  
  • Your organisation uses our services and products and you are an employee or our point of contact. 

What do we use your personal data for?

Bronkhorst uses your personal data for a variety of purposes. The law allows us to use this data only if there is a legitimate purpose for doing so. This may be your consent, for example, but we may also need your data to enter into or perform our agreement with you, or we may have a legitimate interest in processing your data or a legal obligation to do so.

Below is an overview of the personal data that we collect, what we use it for, on what basis, and how long we keep it.

Processing activity

When visiting the Website

  • Bronkhorst collects technical data about your visits via cookies. This includes your IP address, MAC address, the browser you use, the pages you visit on our Website, and other log information. 
  • This data is necessary for the Website to function properly and to show information in the appropriate manner. We process this data to pursue our legitimate business interest of offering you a functioning website.
  • The retention period varies for each cookie. Our Cookie Statement specifies how long we store the various different cookies.

Contractual obligations

  • Bronkhorst collects your personal data when you purchase services and/or products from us. We process the contact details of your organisation's point of contact, including their name, address, email address, phone number and other (necessary) company and contact information.
  • This data is necessary for us to provide our services and products, to enter into an agreement with you for that purpose, and to fully and properly perform the agreement.
  • Due to legal administrative and tax obligations, we will keep certain information for a longer period of time (7 years). To the extent that data does not need to be retained on the basis of those retention obligations, we will not keep it any longer than necessary and generally delete it 7 years after the end of the provision of services.

 

Contact

  • You can contact us in various ways, for example via e-mail or by phone, or via the chat function or our contact form on the Website. 
    Which personal data we process about you depends on how you contact us. We may for example process your name, email address, phone number, and the information you submit along with your query. If you contact us by phone, we will also record certain information about you in order to handle your query.
  • We need this personal data from you in order to provide you with a proper and full service. We have a legitimate business interest in processing this data to answer any queries, handle complaints, and provide you with assistance. 
  • We will not keep your data any longer than necessary to handle your query. We will delete your personal data no later than 3 months after your request to contact us has been dealt with.

Registration

  • For quick and efficient communication or to make full use of our services and/or products such as obtaining additional documentation or personal assistance – you can create an account at ‘My Bronkhorst’. We will process your email address, name, phone number and the country you are in.
  • We need this personal data from you in order to provide you with a proper and full service. We have a legitimate business interest in processing this data to answer any queries, handle complaints, and provide you with assistance.
  • We will delete this data no later than 6 months after a request to delete the account. 

Promotions and other communications

  • Bronkhorst may provide you with offers for our services and products or other promotional materials and/or other information that we believe may be of interest to you. We also send email messages to existing customers. We process your first and last names and email address for these purposes.
  • We will send you these emails if you have consented to direct marketing and provided your email address when using our Website. Processing will then take place on the basis of your consent. You can withdraw your consent by unsubscribing. This can easily be done by using the opt-out function at the bottom of the email message or by contacting us at info@bronkhorst.com
  • Your data will be kept as long as you have not unsubscribed and will be deleted no later than 3 months after you have unsubscribed.

Newsletter

  • Bronkhorst wishes to keep you informed about the company and update you on our services and products. We process your first and last names and email address for this purpose.
  • We will only send you newsletters if you have subscribed to them. Processing will then take place on the basis of your consent. You can withdraw your consent by unsubscribing. This can easily be done by using the opt-out function at the bottom of the newsletter.
  • Your data will be kept as long as you are subscribed to the newsletter. Once you have unsubscribed, we will stop processing your data for this purpose and delete it within 3 months.

Events

  • You can register through Bronkhorst for various events we organise, including webinars and knowledge sessions. We process your name and email address for this purpose.
  • You can sign up for various events by filling out a registration form. By registering, you consent to your personal data being processed. You can withdraw your consent by unsubscribing.
  • We will not keep your personal data for any longer than necessary. We will generally delete your personal data 3 months after the event has taken place, unless you have given us permission to use the data for longer. 

When do we disclose your data to third parties?

We use the services of external parties who perform specific tasks and projects at our request. Your personal data may be shared with those parties. We have entered into data processing agreements with them. Below is an overview of the external parties we use:

  • External hosting providers, including cloud providers for storing and managing your data;
  • External companies that provide support applications/tools. For example, when you contact us, we will create a ticket using Zendesk;
  • Other specific tasks that we have outsourced include IT support, accounting, communications and email marketing.

We may be required by law to share your personal data with government organisations or authorities. The Dutch tax authorities for example may ask us to share financial information.

International transfer

Where we process or transfer your data outside the European Economic Area (EEA), we will comply with applicable laws. We always seek to do so on the basis of the European Commission’s adequacy decisions. If that is not possible, we will ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place that provide an adequate level of protection for your rights and freedoms as a data subject in accordance with the GDPR. Where necessary, we will set out the arrangements made in a data transfer agreement based on European Commission-approved standard contractual clauses. Rights of data subjects

If Bronkhorst processes personal data about you, you have the following rights.

  • Right of access. You have the right to ask us to grant you access to your personal data and additional information about its processing, for example the recipients or categories of recipients with whom your personal data has been or will be shared.
  • Right of rectification. If necessary, you can also ask us to add to or rectify your personal data.
  • Right to be forgotten. You have the right to ask us to delete your personal data. We will erase your personal data if, for example, your data is no longer needed, you rightfully object to the use of your data, or a legally defined retention period has expired.
  • Right to restrict processing. In certain situations, you have the right to restrict the use of your personal data. This means that we will temporarily suspend the processing of your data, for example to check whether your data is correct if that might not be the case.
  • Right to object. If we base the use of your personal data on our legitimate interests, you have the right to object to the processing of your data on account of your specific situation (your specific individual circumstances). We will stop processing your data unless we argue that there are compelling legitimate grounds for processing that override your interests. We will not process the relevant data as long as it is not clear whether our interests override yours.
  • Right to data portability. If the processing is based on your consent or the performance of a contract, and you ask us to do so, we will in most cases need to provide you with all your personal data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format. This will allow you to provide your data to another party. Finally, you can ask us to send you your personal data or to transfer it to a third party.
  • Withdrawal of consent. If we process personal data about you on the basis of your consent, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. This will not affect the personal data that we processed before you withdrew your consent.
