What to do

  • Own the sales strategy and revenue targets for the West Coast territory, covering direct end users, OEM accounts, and channel/distributor partners.
  • Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities across target markets including semiconductor, life sciences, chemical/process, energy, and analytical instrumentation.
  • Conduct technical consultations with engineers and procurement teams to understand application requirements and recommend appropriate mass flow, pressure, and liquid flow control solutions.
  • Prepare and present quotations, proposals, and product demonstrations; negotiate pricing and terms to close orders.
  • Maintain and grow relationships with existing accounts to drive repeat business and identify expansion opportunities.
  • Manage and support regional distributor and manufacturers' representative relationships, including training and joint sales calls.
  • Represent Bronkhorst USA at regional trade shows, industry conferences, and customer events.
  • Maintain accurate records of opportunities, quotes, and customer interactions in the company CRM.
  • Collaborate with inside sales, application engineering, and customer service teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Provide regular forecasts, pipeline updates, and market feedback to sales leadership.
  • Monitor competitive activity and market trends within the territory and report insights to inform company strategy.

What to bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, or related field) or equivalent technical experience; a technical background is strongly preferred given the application-driven nature of the sales process.
  • 3+ years of outside/field sales experience selling technical or capital equipment, instrumentation, or process control products in a B2B environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a multi-state territory and independently prioritize a sales pipeline.
  • Familiarity with flow measurement, flow control, or related process instrumentation is a strong plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including comfort presenting technical concepts to engineers and non-technical stakeholders alike.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and standard office/productivity software.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel within the territory up to 50% of the time.
  • Based in or willing to relocate to the West Coast region, ideally within reasonable proximity to a major metro area for travel efficiency.

Preferred:

  • Existing relationships or account base within semiconductor, pharmaceutical, chemical processing, or analytical instrumentation markets.
  • Experience selling through a distributor/rep network in addition to direct accounts.
  • Familiarity with mass flow controllers, mass flow meters, or gas/liquid delivery systems.
