Reliable alternatives to analog flow meters and mass flow controllers
A leading manufacturer of laser systems faced a persistent problem. Their machines used an analog flow meter that proved unreliable in the field and caused failures. The challenge? Develop a replacement that fits exactly in the same space, with the same connections and functionality—but more robust.
Within days, our engineers developed a prototype that met all requirements: a compact flow meter with the right flow range, 4–20 mA output, and a robust design. The customer tested the prototype extensively and quickly gave the green light for production. The solution is now produced in large volumes at our factory.
We encountered similar questions from a customer in the semiconductor industry. They needed a replacement for existing mass flow controllers that matched the original in length, connections, and performance.
Together, we developed a truly “plug-and-play” solution: remove the old component, insert the new one—no changes needed to the machine or software. Thanks to close collaboration, we even developed an interface compatible with the existing electrical connectors.
