IN-LINE gas filters

Increase the service interval of your flow meter / controller

Due to its design, a thermal mass flow meter or controller can be sensitive to contamination.
Therefore it is crucial to ensure that the gas entering the instrument is clean. An IN-LINE Filter Assembly, attached to the instrument’s inlet, provides this protection, thereby extending the service interval and ensuring the instrument maintains its specified accuracy.
The filter assembly contains a 316L sintered metal cartridge, which is suitable for general purpose filtration and can be cleaned using an appropriate solvent. If the gas has a high particulate content, the use of a pre-filter is recommended.

Filter selection

Choose a low-flow or medium-flow style filter for instruments with ¼” female thread at the inlet; the high-flow filter is suitable for mounting into instruments with ½” female thread; the ultra-low-flow filters have ⅛" connections.

In principle select finest porosity with low ΔP; preferably ΔP not higher than 250 to 500 mbar, and porosity not bigger than 5 μm. The ΔP across the IN-LINE filter can be calculated with the help of our online calculation tool FLUIDAT on the Net.
